Michael Murphy Managing Director
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to sincerely thank you for your continuing support of the Wexford Races and for taking the time to visit our website.
Bettyville Park is strongly supported by locals and visitors alike, and all share in the friendly atmosphere that is a day at the races in the sunny South-East, however, if you have yet to be converted to the thrill of the races, we would dearly encourage you to select Wexford as your sample choice.
We are a small country track with no airs or graces, so why not come along and we promise you will not be disappointed.
Wexford has a rich racing culture that continues to flourish, an appealing and pleasant mixture of sporting and social intercourse where the friendship and warmth of welcome transcends all boundaries.
The racecourse was been developed in stages and is now one of the finest tracks of its kind in Ireland with the constant support and complimentary comments from the leading trainers and jockeys in the country.
While the track is primarily favoured for its jumping fixtures, the best stables run their horses in the competitive flat racing programmes during the summer months.
On the social side, there are many bars and restaurants, the mobile food outlets, a betting shop, the on-course bookmakers and the Tote facilities.
Families are particularly popular at Bettyville Park, and always welcome, with occasional special attractions for the children. Sometimes we have fashion events and special promotions that encourage celebrities and increase the profile of the Wexford races.
Racing at Wexford is about more than the horse racing. Like any great occasion there are the ancillaries that mould the whole package into an experience that inspires friendship and relaxation in an environment that is pleasant and family friendly.
Unlike other sports, a day at the races offers periods between races where people can converse, meet old friends and have time for a chat or share in a drink at the bar, without missing any of the action on the track.
At Wexford, we are proud of our racing tradition and those who pass through our turnstiles, the sponsors and the owners, trainers and jockeys are the reason why the Wexford Races are growing in popularity.
We all live in recessionary times now, however, life has to go on, and the best way to eliminate stress is a visit to the Wexford Races. Come and join with us. A warm Wexford welcome awaits.
